Vogel Cable Car
The Vogel Cable Car is a super way to get high in the mountains quickly. On a sunny, clear days, the views are amazing. Relax in the café with a hot chocolate, or take advantage of the lift to start one of the numerous, well-marked, high-altitude hiking trails. For the more energetic, try the zip line or mountain bike park; for the fearless, paragliding offers an unforgettable experience.
The Ride up to Vogel
The Vogel Cable Car leaves at the west end of Lake Bohinj. There is a car-park, although it does get busy in summer and during the ski season.
The cable car can accommodate pushchairs, wheelchairs and bikes.
In just 4 minutes, the Vogel Cable Car transports you from the lakeside in Ukanc (579m) to Vogel Ski Station (1535m). At the top of the cable car there is a fabulous viewing platform and a café serving drinks and snacks.
Views from Vogel Ski Centre
The temperature is much cooler up in the mountains so remember to take extra layers to put on.
