Vogel Cable Car
The Vogel Cable Car is a super way to get high in the mountains quickly. On a sunny, clear days, the views are amazing. Relax in the café with a hot chocolate, or take advantage of the lift to start one of the numerous, well-marked, high-altitude hiking trails. For the more energetic, try the zip line or mountain bike park; for the fearless, paragliding offers an unforgettable experience.
In winter, the Vogel Cable Car is busy each day with skiers who come up to Vogel Ski Centre.
The Ride up to Vogel
The Vogel Cable Car leaves at the west end of Lake Bohinj. There is a car-park, although it does get busy in summer and during the ski season.
The cable car can accommodate pushchairs, wheelchairs and bikes.
In just 4 minutes, the Vogel Cable Car transports you from the lakeside in Ukanc (579m) to Vogel Ski Station (1535m). At the top of the cable car there is a fabulous viewing platform and a café serving drinks and snacks.

The temperature is much cooler up in the mountains so remember to take extra layers to put on.

Ticket Options
Prices vary according to whether it is summer or winter. If you are visiting other tourist attractions in the area during one day, consider buying a Bohinj Package. Alternatively, if you are here for a number of day, the Julian Alps Card is money well spent.
