Feel the Adrenaline
Lake Bohinj is the perfect destination for adrenaline-filled adventures for the whole family, whether you are a complete beginner and fancy giving something a go for the first time or more experienced and wanting to test your limits.
What takes your fancy?
Canyoning is one of the most popular adrenaline water sports on offer in Bohinj, with routes suitable for all levels. The region is an outdoor water park made from natural materials; jump into pools, whizz down naturally formed slides, abseil down waterfalls.
An experienced and supportive guide will escort you at all times so that you can fully immerse yourself in this energising activity.

No previous experience is necessary to raft down the Sava Bohinjka river. Paddle through unspoilt terrain as you steer down the river to conquer the rapids. A guide will be on hand to guide you down the route and ensure there is plenty of fun for all. Perfect for families with children over 6 years old.
Fly like a bird and get unparalleled views over the Julian Alps and Lake Bohinj, safe in the hands of your tandem pilot. In the summertime, flights can be taken from Vogar, Vogel and Studor, all mountains close to the lake.
No previous experience is needed, just a positive and enthusiastic attitude! Paragliding has got to be one of the most breathtaking ways to experience the Bohinj valley.
Mountain Bike Trails
Some 1,200m above the lake, Vogel Mountain Bike Park offers tracks for beginners and more advanced riders. You feel on top of the world as you traverse the mountain track.
Alternatively, you can hire mountain bikes in Ribčez Laz or Stara Fužina and head out on one of the well-marked biking trails.
For a more bespoke experience, or for those new to mountain biking, try a guided tour to take you to secret spots with amazing views, and experience local cuisine in the alpine world.
High Rope Course
The Bohinj Adrenalin Park is situated close to the south shore of the lake at the Pod Voglom Hostel and is open from April-October. Designed for adults and children over 11 years, the obstacle course is built 8 metres above the ground and includes a giant swing.
Under the supervision of an experienced and professionally-trained instructor, test your nerves, have some fun and enjoy some family time together.
The Bohinj area has many shady spots for rock climbing, with guided routes suitable for beginners and wilder ones for those with more experience. There is even a book detailing all the climbs in the area.
For those wanting a taster session, there is a cliff in Ribčev Laz called Pod Skalco, where you can be guided up a variety of routes to ring the bell at the top. This is a particularly popular activity for families and beginners.
